2 years ago, today, we moved into the new custom home built by Jacob and the Crew at Wendt Custom Homes. I purposely waited until now to write this review. The excitement of moving into a new home almost always influences over-the-top positive comments in a review. So, I am very happy that 2 years has passed, and now we can say without any reservation that our experience of building with Jacob, and our experience of living in this marvelous home, is still OVER THE TOP POSITIVE! The Wendt team's Honesty, integrity, commitment and professionalism are ON-PAR with the Quality of Craftsmanship and Service that went into building our home. We could not be more grateful that we chose Wendt CH to build our home. We still LOVE it!! Thank you Jacob, Rachel and Stephanie!!

We signed a contract with Wendt Custom Homes for a 3,160 sf custom home, 32x36 shop, and a 1,300 sf guest house in September 2023, broke ground in June 2024, and finished construction in March 2025. We are so proud of our new home, shop, and guest house. My wife and I had every opportunity to make our home exactly how we wanted it, with all the upgrades and design of a true custom home. From a barreled-ceiling entry, to coffered ceilings in the living room, to built-in designed study and closets, we have all the makings of a well-designed, masterly built custom home. Jacob worked intentionally and tirelessly with us throughout the process, being available for every question and follow up, all the punch list items, even through all the post-move in details. Jacob accommodated every part of the development for us, starting out as raw land, now including land preparation, 800 ft drive, water well, septic system, interior and property fencing, entry gate and landscaping. Nothing was left to us to figure out on our own. We have a remarkable and exceptional home for my wife and I to enjoy for decades to come. Jacob and team are amazing. Very reasonable unlike other home builders. Jacob is available past 5 pm unlike other builders, and also on weekends. This is important especially when you are like us and work monday through friday. Jacob and his team are friendly, and find ways to make things happen, even with a tight budget. The quality of craftsmanship is superior to their competitors, and you receive a premium product at more than a fair price. That's a big deal. What makes wendt custom homes stand out is just that, you receive a custom home. You get to make all the decisions, and they are there to help guide you in the right direction, making the process so much easier. We decided to build a workshop, and they are able to do this too, making it a one stop shop. Another thing that really stands out is patience. We have had struggles making decisions on certain things, and Jacob was right there to provide quality advice.Need less to say we are very happy with Wendt homes, and highly recommend anyone looking to build a custom home to use Wendt. We talked to many different builders, and Jacob and team was a clear choice.I just want to thank Jacob and team for everything.

We chose Jacob Wendt to build our custom built home after a Realtor that we have known for decades told us of his eye to detail and that she recommended we take a look at some of the homes he had built in Peaster. The quality that we observed prior to our house being built is the quality and respectful communication that we experienced all throughout our build. Our land was 30 feet higher in the front than the back of our property that could have left us with a very expensive problem however Jacob and his excavator worked diligently to solve our water drainage issues and navigating the property without concrete stairs that would have been difficult for us to navigate safely. Our home is gorgeous and even though this was not our first custom built home, it was absolutely a blessing that we had Jacob to guide us through times such as these. It was by far less stressful having Jacob as our builder. He is honest, professional, patiently educational when needed and has remained diligent about addressing any areas we needed further discussion on to understand. My husband even calculated out how much we spent and will spend due to the higher interest rates of our times with the rise in cost to build and home values rising in our area due to the housing shortage that's ever increasing and concluded that we were by far better off having a tighter budget until we refinance than if we had decided to wait out the high interest rates and waiting to build. It would have been a costly mistake to allow a quick look at the budget and made a decision just from that stand point. We sold our home in Arizona and made close to $300,000. in just six years time because of the sharp rise in home values there before we sold and came back to Texas upon my husband retiring. It's not an exact science however when in the DFW area, it's a given that there will be a rising shortage of housing with our history of jobs and those moving to our area for well over a century. We are confident we made the right choice for our situation.We are eternally grateful to Jacob and his family for their ethical standards and quality workmanship. They provided a gorgeous house that is now our forever home. We are again grateful and blessed.

We designed and built our home with Wendt Custom Homes and the experience was a very positive one from start to finish. Jacob Wendt was easy to work with, listened and heard us regarding all aspects of the design and build process, and offered suggestions to help guide us to what we were looking for in our new home. WCH built our forever dream home. We had built homes before, but never a custom home. When going over our plans, he suggested things we would never have thought of. When we were unsure about a decision(s) , Jacob gave options and his expert advice. When we had questions (no matter how trivial), Jacob responded in a timely manner.
